Legislative Update |

In the chiropractic profession, we are affected by the decisions of employers, insurance compainies, the Board of Examiners, and legislature. The TCA Political Action Committee allows our profession to have a strong unified voice in the legislative arena. Some chiropractic physicians choose not to contribute to C-PAC because they do not want to participate in politics or the legislative process. Unfortunately, that does not change our need to be involved. The medical profession, insurance industry and other entities continually lobby to shape the future of health care in Tennessee and the United States. It is the commitement of this association and our legislative team to be current with the changes that affect the chiropractic profession. We believe protecting chiropractic is the most important funciton of the TCA. Whether the issue is scope of practice, a patient's right to access, insurance regulations that affect reimbursement, worker's compensation, or a myriad of other concerns, each issue is shaped by legislation and regulation. To ensure that our legislative initiatives protect chiropractic, we must rely on the dedication and support of individual TCA members. Through chiropractic physicians' support of our state political action committee, we are able to protect each member's right to practice.
